Water Quality Committee
MISSION
Protecting water resources was identified as a Town priority during the development of the Comprehensive Plan. The mission of the Water Quality Committee is to support this goal by developing an overall water quality plan for the Town of Casco.
Committee Areas of Focus:
• Prevention: Land use ordinance enforcement & watershed stewardship
• Water Quality Testing, Tracking & Data Management
• Inspection: Courtesy boat inspections, documentation of shoreline conditions
• Education & Outreach: Public awareness of invasive aquatic species, water quality and watershed issues
• Funding: Research Federal, State and local grant opportunities
