Trek Across Maine | Casco, ME

The 42nd annual Trek Across Maine, organized by the American Lung Association, will be making their way through Casco and neighboring towns on Saturday, June 20th.

The Casco Day Park will be hosting a Trek Across Maine rest area on June 20th. Parking at the Casco Post Office will be limited during this event. Please try to park on the street to access the Post Office. The parking lot will not be accessible from Meadow Road. Vehicles will need to enter from Leach Hill Road and park along the building. Vehicles can then exit using the front exit to Meadow Road.

This 3-day cycling event will take place between June 19th and June 21st during which 800+ cyclists, and hundreds of volunteers will be on the roads. Residents are asked for their patience and extra care by slowing down and sharing the road as the cyclists make their way through Casco.

Residents can help keep cyclists safe by following these safety tips:

Always watch for cyclists on the road.

Always stop and look in both directions before turning right at a red light.

Keep at least three feet between you and a cyclist.
