Tenney Hill Reparation Initial Stakeholder Meeting
In concert with the Cumberland County Soil and Water Conservation service (CCSWC) we will be holding an initial stakeholders meeting March 11, 2014 with a storm date of March 25, 2014 the meeting to begin at 6:30 pm at the community center building. CCSWC has been retained by the Selectboard to help facilitate the development of a strategy for application of the Tenney Hill reparation funds. The Town of Casco expects to receive up to $500,000. For the purpose of ground water protection. The stakeholders being invited to participate in this initial meeting include:
- Casco Selectboard
- Casco Planning Board
- Casco Open Space Commission
- Casco Conservation committee
- Town Staff
- CCSWC staff
Members of the public are welcome to attend and observe, however public participation is not part of this initial discussion. An opportunity for public participation will occur at a later follow up meeting. An agenda will be sent out just prior to the meeting. A brief history regarding the Tenney hill waste oil superfund site will be provided as well as a brief discussion focusing on the purpose of the reparation funds being limited to ground water protection.

The Memorial School demolition is scheduled to occur Monday March 10th. The contractor expects to set up in the am and begin demolition as soon as the site is set up.
