The Casco Selectboard and Planning Board will be hosting a public hearing on the proposed Comprehensive Draft on May 18th. The Meeting will be held at the Casco Community Center beginning at 6:00 pm.

The Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee is holding a Community Q&A Session on May 13, 2023 from 10am to 12pm at the Casco Community Center. Join the committee and your neighbors for a facilitated Question and Answer discussion regarding the DRAFT Comprehensive Plan.
As a reminder, the plan is available for download and review on the town’s website and hardcopies are available at the Town Office, the library, and the South Casco fire station.

Casco Comprehensive Plan 2023 DRAFT
March 2023
The draft Comprehensive Plan is now available for public review. Hard copies of the draft plan are available for review at the Town Office (635 Meadow Rd), Casco Public Library (5 Leach Hill Rd) and South Casco Fire Station (Co 2) (20 Brown Ave) .
The open comment period will close on May 15, 2023. Please refer any question or comments to the Town Manager, Tony Ward, at award@cascomaine.org.
The Planning Board and Selectboard will be conducting a joint public hearing regarding this document on April 11, 2023 at 6:00pm at the Casco Community Center (940 Meadow Road, Casco).
Due to the large file size, the document has been separated into six files. FMI please see the index contained in CCP Draft Pgs 1 to 21 file on page 3.
2003 Comprehensive Plan
Description:
This file contains the 2003 Complete Casco Comprehensive Plan with Maps amended as of June 13, 2007. It is a read-only file and therefore it cannot be edited. Its intended use is for public distribution. As a .pdf file it requires Adobe Reader software to open, read or print the file. Adobe Reader can be downloaded for free from www.adobe.com.
Printing:
This file can be printed using a conventional color ink-jet or laser printer. All text and figures are formatted for 8.5" x 11" paper. On printers that do not print color 11" x 17" sheets, the maps in this file may print out anyway, automatically reduced to 8.5" x 11" sheets. Even if the files do not print, they can be viewed on a PC screen and the zoom function in Adobe Reader can vary the amount of detail and area that can be viewed at one time. There are some blank pages inserted within the file to preserve the format of the original Plan document and facilitate double sided page printing. However, the document can also be printed on single sided pages.

This Comprehensive Plan file was assembled and/or updated by Rick Seeley, Land Use Planning Consultant and Matti Gurney of the Greater Portland Council of Governments. The Comprehensive Plan Map files were supplied by Michael O'Donnell of John E. O'Donnell & Associates. The source files were provided by the Town of Casco.
