How old does a vehicle have to be to not need a title?
Vehicles more than 25 years old, except when the Secretary of State determines it is in the best interest of the State and the applicant to issue a title to a vehicle more than 25 years old.
A list of dates when model year vehicles will become exempt from title are listed below.
