Welcome to our new searchable assessment database. We hope this information will be useful and convenient for you. Please let us know how you like it, and what other information might be of help to you.

A brief introduction to our new service:

First, the disclaimer. Records are periodically updated to reflect changes in assessed value, ownership or other information. To the best of our knowledge, information is correct at the time it is placed on this site, but we cannot warranty its correctness or completeness. If you require further assurance, you should contact the Town Office.

There are two search mechanisms available:

YOU CAN SEARCH THE ENTIRE DATABASE to find a particular parcel, or parcels, by name, map and lot, or by street location.

To search by name: You do not need to enter a complete name, or street address to get a search result. For example, if you are looking for a property owned by Morton, but don’t know a first name, simply type in Morton in the last name field. All Mortons will appear in the resulting list. If you do know a first name, and want to limit your search, enter in the following format: Last name, first name or Morton, David

Remember, though, that if the property is owned jointly and the other owner’s name is listed first, your search will not be successful. You may find it advisable to use only the last name as your search parameter, then double click to select the desired account from the returned list.

To search by map and lot: Map and lot entries must be made using our 4 digit format. For example, to search for map 3, lot 15, you would need to enter 0003 in the map field, and 0015 in the lot field. If you want a result which includes all the parcels associated with a particular map, enter the map as indicated above, but simply put a zero (0) in the lot field.

To search by location: If you want to see a list of all the properties identified as Maple St., simply type in Maple in the street name field. All properties identified as Maple Street will appear. You need not enter a particular street number unless you wish to.

Once you have selected a list of properties, or one property, in this manner, double click the desired property to bring up a detail screen with additional information.

YOU CAN SEARCH ONLY PROPERTIES WHICH HAVE SOLD

You can also search just our sales file by entering ranges of selling price and dates of sale. Please enter your search parameters in the manner indicated.

Important note to this search: The Recorded Sale Date accurately reflects the month and the year the deed was recorded at the Cumberland County Registry, but the day of the month may not be correct. This is due to a software conversion that we did this spring. If the day of the month indicates a transfer on the first, such as 2/1/2001, do not rely on it. We will correct these entries as time permits. If the day of the month is something other than the first, such as 5/5/2002, the day is likely correct.
